This Privacy Policy explains how Autoguard X Inc., operating as MowBeetle™ Canada (“Company”, “We”, “Us”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information. We are the operator of mowbeetle.axen1.com and the MowBeetle™ D2C Program, and we comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
We collect information you provide directly — your name, email address, phone number (optional), postal code, city/region, lawn details, and any content you submit through bookings, host applications, buyback requests, reviews, or referral activity. When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. We also collect limited technical data such as device and browser type, and photos you upload for the AI Lawn Check or buyback valuation.
We use your information to: process and confirm Lawn Lab bookings and host applications; operate the referral (“Share & Earn”) program and calculate commissions; process early-bird orders and buyback/renewal requests; run the AI Lawn Check compatibility assessment; send transactional and program notifications by email; connect shoppers with nearby Lawn Lab hosts; and improve our products and services. We do not sell your personal information.
When you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we use OAuth to authenticate you. We only request your basic public profile and email address (scopes: public_profile, email). We use this to create or match your visitor account and to pre-fill forms. We do not post to your social accounts on your behalf without an explicit action, and we do not access your friends, contacts, or private content. You may revoke access at any time from your Google or Facebook account settings.
Lawn Lab host participation is voluntary. A host's approximate area (postal code / city) is shown on the public map, but a host's exact address is disclosed only to visitors who have booked a confirmed visit — never to any third party. All visitor and host data is handled in accordance with PIPEDA.
We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and operate core features. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you.
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Program — for example payment processing (Stripe), transactional email delivery, cloud storage for uploaded images, and identity providers (Google, Facebook) — and only to the extent necessary to provide the service. These providers are bound to protect your information and use it solely for the services they provide to us. We may disclose information where required by law.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described here or as required by law (for example, tax and commission records). We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to ask how your information is handled. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by PIPEDA.
The Program is intended for adults who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
